Founder of the band

I was born in Cuba in the province of Camaguey .

from a very early age I am He was attracted to music. In five years I started to play my first chords on guitar and a couple of years later I started to play with various musical groups on instruments such as guitar, bass, accordion or Cuban percussion. Soon I also loved composing songs, and so I began studying music at art school in Camaguey . Studies have resumed in Havana, where I graduated later.

I graduated in subjects classic guitar and conductor and the orchestra .

After graduation I began to interact and record with various groups in the first class of my country, as a musician - professional.

The groups I got into many different countries and presented it Cuban music. I got so much experience to his professional career.

Santy

In 2002, I flew to the Czech Republic and began working in the Cuban restaurant La Bodeguita del Medio . A year later I founded my own band which is now called Santy y su marabú .

The band work as a bandleader, arranger , composer , guitarist , tresero and singer .

I play my own music, which is a mixture of Cuban and Latin-American rhythms.

These include: son, rumba, vabanco, sucu-sucu, merenge, bachata, cha cha cha, Latin jazz and others.

While working on trying to track modern and original music, I'm at the same time to preserve the roots of Cuban music ( Cuban son ).
